Cannot Delete Devices from Google Home.

Every piece of advice says go to Google Home, select device tile, select delete. The problem is, I don't get a delete option. I've built quite a selection of obsolete devices over the last 5 years or so. I had to create clever renames. I want to delete all obsolete devices and cannot find a way! I even created another home and tried moving items there, but it gives an error of "trouble connecting with Google".

I had to deregister (factory reset) my nest audio and it removed it from google home.

@Waddy, thanks for sharing your resolution.

 

@stevieboy55, that certainly hasn't been easy for you ― let's check it out. May I know what type of devices you want to be removed from your Google Home app? Does this include Nest speakers and displays? Could you specify which are those? 

 

To successfully remove an active device from the Google Home app, both your phone and the device must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Select the device on your Google Home app, go to the gear icon on the upper right corner and scroll down and choose remove/delete. If the devices are obsolete and are not available anymore, for the Nest speakers, do a factory reset to revert them back to its default and original settings, cleaning the software. Here's how. For non-Google devices which are not available on your Google Home app, kindly check out this link and if you can see your devices there, then you'll have the option to sign-out from it.

I looked. The devices that show up there are valid. The ones seen by Google home but are obsolete, do not show up there under my devices
