Cannot link my Google Nest Mini 1 Speaker to my Google account

Hello all,

After changing my ISP, The Google Nesy Mini 1 Speaker won't link to my Google Account.

An initial setup always fails with the following error message "The operation couldn't be completed. (kGSKErrorDomain error - 83902.)"

Steps I took:

  • I factory reset it several times.
  • I tried to connect it to a different Smartphone with a different Google Account.
  • Re-installed the Home and Assistants Apps On the smartphone.
  • I tried to add the Speaker into another room.
  • I tried to create a new room and add it to it.

It seems to me like a bug of Google.

Can you please advise?

Thanks!

Joe

In addition,

I took the following steps as well:

  • I forced to close the Google Home app.
  • Connect it to my iPhone via WIFI (From the WIFI list on my iPhone)
  • Connect it to my iPhone via Bluetooth
  • Once connected, I re-opened the Google Home app and follow the steps on screen.

For info:

  • I’m using the latest version of iOS
  • I’m using the latest version of the Google Home, and Assistant apps
  • I rebooted my phone several times
  • My phone's language and region is set to English
  • My Google account language is set to English
  • I’m not using a VPN or a proxy on my phones
  • iCloud private relay is turned off
  • Local network access is enabled for google

Hi JoeMKing,

That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Let’s further look into it. Can you confirm the region (US, UK, etc.) set on your phone? Let’s set the same language and region in the Google Home app. Open the Google Home app > Settings > Google Assistant > Manage all Assistant settings > Languages. Force close and reopen the Google Home app, then proceed with the setup steps. Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Alex
