Connecting Mac Audio to Nest Audio Speaker

Hi Everyone - I am having trouble connecting my Mac audio output to the google nest audio speaker.

The nest help site says the following, hut the speaker doesn't appear in my Mac's list of available targets;

Mac OS

1. Click the Apple menu  System Preferences.
2. Find the Bluetooth icon 
3. Turn on Bluetooth.
4. Select the name of the speaker or display you’d like to pair.

Ideally I would like to use Airplay if possible  - Any help gratefully received.

Thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to hear that you are encountering issues connecting your Mac to your Google Nest Audio. That is definitely odd that it is not connecting from your Mac. I understand your concern and would be more than happy to help find a solution.

Let's try to connect to Bluetooth from the Google side.

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. Tap the device you want to pair.
3. Tap Settings   Audio  Paired Bluetooth devices  Enable Pairing Mode.
