I recently got a Home Mini and I'm trying to set it up using Google Home on my Pixel 5.
It tells me I need to go to the Help Center, where it tells me to use Google TV (not Home?) or a non-Pixel phone to set it up. This absolutely blows my mind. I can't find this "set up flow" on Google TV anywhere and why shouldn't my Pixel make this 100x simpler?

HI @StunkieBrae
Yeah, sorry..ugh.
You won't be able to use the Google TV because that is, from what I understand, not applicable to the Nest Mini.
See this community blog post that requests users call or chat support: Heads Up: Device Activation - Google Nest Community
Nothing more that is in that post is shared with us. You'll need to use a non Pixel phone for set up.

I am also have this same problem! Have you had any luck on resolving this issue? I agree, you would think having a pixel phone would take a lot of problems out of the equation.

Hey ChristyIguess,
We apologize for the inconvenience. Here's the official post of the Google Nest Community team that further discusses this. You might want to set up your device using a different phone.
