I am trying to changed the downtime settings but the app will not let me pass through the option where it asks you for people and devices for the schedule. No matter what I click the app will not let me click next and go onto the next part.

Apologize for the late response here. I know how challenging it can be when you can't change some settings for your device on the Google Home app. A few questions - which country you are located in? Are you able to change the settings before? Have you tried using a different phone/tablet? What is the default language on your device?
