It is good that Google Mini Nest had a command to "end" after a spoken time. Especially sleep sounds used to go nighty night. My 1st gen still accepted the end command and agreed with repeat. BUT after spoken time, it still keeps playing. SADLY using internet services all night long after having done such a helpful thing. Now I can't use my Google nest for sleeping because it would stay on. SO I BOUGHT a 2nd gen Nest. It confirms with repeat the end command but keeps on playing and playing, wasting energy. I also don't like the channel to my wi-fi to stay connected. (I hope that isn't the purpose behind this flaw.) The flaw showed its ugly head about November 2022. I wish to have to "END" command to work properly. I spend money for newer Nest hoping it was a broken old nest. SAD NOT, now I have 2 nest I can't use to get to sleep. (or just set up off time, I can restart anytime.)

I have the same issue. It used to work fine, but now the end time, despite being confirmed, is ignored

Hi folks,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.
We've heard feedback that turning off sleep sounds after one hour is insufficient for some of our users, so we made the decision to remove the end time. We're currently investigating ways to build a comparable solution and we appreciate your patience.
We appreciate people who are keen on sharing their thoughts with us. We're always looking for ways to improve. I'd suggest you both submit feedback about it, here's how.
Let us know if you have other questions and concerns otherwise, we will be locking this thread after 24 hours.
Regards,
Juni
