Ever managed to cast audio 24/7 without interruptions?

Anyone ever managed to play music non-stop without interruptions? What's the longest without interruptions have you done?

Here's everything I tried and I never managed to get music playing for more than half a day. This thing is so broken.

Routine to cast yt music playlist

  • Android tablet to cast yt music playlist
  • Android tablet to cast Plex playlist


Tried all of this on a Nest Mini and two different Google Homes

At some point, it just stops playing. 

When using the tablet, it just disconnects at some point or playback just stops. With voice assistant and routines it just stops playing randomly and sometimes the Home/Nest Mini becomes unresponsive.
All devices have great signal and aren't far from my Nest Wifi router and/or from my other AP.

Hi  FauxPalindrome,

 

Thanks for posting. I know it must be great having a Nest device that can play until you want it to but, these devices still rely on some factor to play continuously. 

 

Let’s start by having your Nest devices near your router and monitor afterwards. Also, there’s the Wi-Fi connectivity factor that can affect your devices. The environment your devices are in if there are hindrances between them. There’s also the songs being played and the music service being used.

 

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first: 

 

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

 

If the issue persists, you can revert your speakers back to its original settings in which you need to set it up again. Let’s do a factory reset so follow the instructions on this link
