I purchased two Nest Hubs for my daughters at Christmas. They are both under 13, have their own Google accounts linked to mine using Family Link.
The nests are setup with voice recognition and personalisation. I want my daughters to be able to check events in our family calendar - this works when I ask the nest (because the family calendar is my Google account default) but when my daughters ask the nest it defaults to their personal calendars (which don’t have any events in).
I’ve tried changing my daughters default calendar but this doesn’t appear to be an option for a child account.
ive tried removing voice match and personalised results on the nest, but when asking for calendar information it says permission is required to show the calendar.
so my question is, how can you get the nest to show family calendar information when a child is asking?
thanks in advance

Hi Jamesdryden,
Thanks for reaching out to the community! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Hub isn't displaying the events from your family calendar. Even though you've enabled voice recognition and personalization for your daughters, when they ask the Nest Hub about their events, it redirects them to their personal calendars instead of the family calendar. I'd be happy to help!
Since the Nest Hub is able to recognize your primary account (which is your Google account), it appears to be functioning as expected. However, the inconvenience may be related to Family Link settings.
To ensure you receive the most effective assistance, our friends at the Google For Families Help community are the perfect folks to help you with it. They have the necessary expertise to troubleshoot and resolve concerns related to Family Link.
Keep me posted.
