Is it possible to set up my google hub if my iPhone is not able to access the same wifi? I already registered my google hub to the schools wifi devices by MAC address. The google hub connects to the wifi, but I cannot complete the set up because the wifi devices does not support iPhone, so I cannot connect to the same wifi as the google hub

Chromecast devices don't support these kind of Wifi systems, known as captive portals, that require you to login first to be able to access the internet. Even though you've whitelisted your device's MAC address, the administrator of the Wifi network has probably enabled a security feature called client isolation, which prevents different devices from communicating with each other (i.e. your phone communicating with your Chromecast.)
