My child has discovered the games that were added to the Google Home Hub within the past year (some examples include Guess the Drawing, Smart Pet, and others). The games are awful, cheap and poorly implemented with AI translating things incorrectly and worse, and I can't imagine any world in which you stand at your kitchen counter playing these games. Suffice to say, it's not how we want our nearly screen-free child spending his time. Since our child struggles with sensory issues, we remove pinch points from our environment altogether, but it doesn't seem we can remove these from the device. This being the case, we've had to unplug and remove the device, which prior to this, we were utilizing for music, photo frame, baby monitor via Nest Cam and much more. Can anyone offer a recommendation on how we can go back to a previous version of the Home Hub without this "home" dashboard with "featured" content and "suggestions."
Lastly, I hope whoever is responsible for this content reads this and takes the time to understand exactly how your technology fails customer. Technologists rarely take the time to consider children and families — I guess because so many of them are so wrapped up in the own insular worlds — and we end up with preposterous features that render technology not just useless but harmful.

Hello ljwb,
Thank you for your post. I am sorry to hear about the issues caused by the Google Nest Hub. I understand your concern.
Unfortunately, there is not a way to adjust or change the Google Nest Hub's tabs and widgets and it is not possible to switch your device to a previous firmware.
I will pass your comments along to the team. You can also share your comments by using your own device or Google Home app and following the steps here.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
