Goodnight command on my speaker

WayneKer

I have 3 speakers within my home. 2 of them downstairs. When i say "Hey Google, Goodnight" it runs my automation as it should, however if the speaker in the other room hears the command it does something different. it asks me to set an alarm, then gives me my samsung battery life, says goodnight and then plays Cricket noises.

Why doesnt it run the automation like my other speaker?

Hi WayneKer,

Thanks for reaching out. I apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing. We'll work together to identify the cause of the problem and find a solution. A few questions: what Nest speaker or display are we working with? When did it begin? Were there any recent changes made? Also, what troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

Try to refresh your devices and observe if it makes a difference. First, reboot your Wi-Fi router, and once the network is back up, do the same thing to your Google Nest speaker or display.

Regards,

Juni
