I've spent quite a while resarching how to stop Google Home shouting at me during the quiet hours of the night, and waking up the rest of the house.
There's a very simple solution - NIGHT MODE - in device settings. Once this is enabled you can adjust the Assistant's voice response level during selected times. If you want the assistant voice response to be lower all the time, just set the night mode to be on 24/7.
I've found very many locked threads on here failing to answer the basic request for seperate volume adjustment for the assistant - perhaps users with this problem could be signposted to NIGHT MODE in future.

Hey folks,
It looks like we have come to a solution so I'm going to be locking this thread. If you have any other concerns or questions, please feel free to create a new thread.
Have a great day.
