Google Home Hub routine will not shuffle play my YT Music playlist,it always does the default order.

I have a "I'm home" routine that I say to my Google Hub. This triggers a bunch of lights, switches, TV, amp etc.

 I have set the Google hub to send any music requests to my Chromecast w Gtv which is plugged into my amp.

One of the routine's steps is "Shuffle my Scott's Music playlist on Scott Chromecast"

No matter how I write the instruction it ALWAYS plays the Scott's Music playlist in its default order. I've suffered this a couple of years now and really need to sort it.

Will any particular word combo get this working ?

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. Is it working on another playlist? Which music provider are you using? Is the music provider linked in your Google Home app? Do you have a subscription to this music provider? You can use this action “Shuffle (Playlist name)”, then save the action. Choose your Chromecast device as a source of audio then save it.

It's my Youtube account and it is on my Google Home app.

I've done some investigation.

On Google mini speaker the playlist is shuffled correctly.

On the Goggle Home Hub settings, if I remove the my  'Chromecast with Google TV' as the Hub default speaker it shuffles correctly on the Hub.

But, as soon as I set Home Hub to use 'Chromecast w.GTV' as Hub default speaker my playlist plays on Chromecast but it does not shuffle, just plays in default playlist order. The Hub does say it's shuffling but does not shuffle.

For some reason JUST Chromecast can not shuffle.

Voice activated playlists don't shuffle.

I have been experiencing this same issue as well. Also tried with the second language on Google assistant and the same issue is present.

The shuffle feature does not seem to work when I use the routine function on Google Home to play YouTube playlists on my Chromecast w/ Google tv. As noted above, the playlist just follows the listed order on the playlist despite using the word "shuffle" in both langauages
