Hey folks,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

We're sorry to hear about this experience. Before we start some steps, let's make sure that the following are checked.

  • Original power cable is used for the device.
  • Make sure to plug it directly to the power source to get its required power. Avoid using power strips or extensions.

As soon as the device is plugged in, try asking it or commanding it to see if it will respond.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Hey Jeanno,

Unfortunately, your device is also no longer covered by warranty. Google Home/Nest speakers and displays purchased in the USA and Canada are only covered by a one-year warranty. Please visit Google Consumer Hardware Limited Warranty in our help center to learn more.

Cheers,

Muddi

I'm having the same problem with my home mini (and I'm certain it's a mini). I've tried unplugging and plugging back in after a while. I've tried factory reset (held reset button up to a minute and never got more than a single green light, no sound), and I've tried anything I could think of to reconnect to my wifi, but it is just D.E.A.D.

No, I can't. It was a gift from my husband's employer about six years ago, but we didn't take it out of the box and use it until two years ago.
