Since you've changed your Wi-Fi password, you need to update that setting for your Nest Mini; see this help page:

did not work, I can't figure out how to "forget this network/password" system works.

@pastey

I was hoping that Google Nest's recommended steps would help in your situation. But I'm not really clear on what happened in your case. You recently changed your Wi-Fi password. You're saying your Nest Mini connects to Wi-Fi. How do you know that? If you ask your Nest Mini "What time is it?", does Google give you an answer? If so, you're connected to Wi-Fi.

What exactly are you doing when you say you're "trying to connect to your Google Home Nest mini"? Are you selecting it in the Google Home app? Is that when you get the 83095 error?

I tried searching this forum for "83905" under "Speakers & Displays"; I found several posts but no clear answers; just lots of posts with no answers. Some of the comments implied it occurs when using a language other than English, but I don't know if that applies in your case.

Google Nest's instructions in the link I provided say that if your Nest Mini is NOT connected to Wi-Fi, you should try adding it as a new device using their instructions, and if that doesn't work, do a factory reset.

And if your Nest Mini IS connected to Wi-Fi, you should select the Nest Mini in the Google Home app, select Settings, then select Device Information, then select Wi-Fi, and then click on "Forget this Network".

I don't know whether those instructions will work in your case; we haven't had to change a Wi-Fi password with our Nest Mini.

Hey pastey,

MplsCustomer, we appreciate your continuous assistance.

Try these steps in resetting your Nest Mini:

  1. At the side of the device, switch the mic off. The LEDs turn orange.
  2. Press and hold (long press) the top center of the device, where the LED lights appear.
  3. After 5 seconds, the device begins the factory reset process. Continue to hold (long press) for about 10 seconds more until the Google Assistant confirms that the factory reset started.

If you're using an iOS, turn on Local network access for the Google Home app on your phone settings. Here's how: Privacy > Local Network > Google Home app. Also, check router settings. (AP isolation must be disabled and UPnP must be enabled).

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

Alex
