USA. Five (5) Google Home Mini's. A few weeks ago we noticed that after broadcasting, the lights on the receiving Mini's would continue to pulse. We would have to tell every individual Mini "Hey Google Stop". It would be fine until we sent another broadcast. We tried rebooting and unplugging but nothing would reset them.
Yesterday we did the following. Deleted the Google Home 'network'. Unplugged all the minis. Deleted the gmail account. Starting with a blank slate.
We rebooted our internet, created a new Gmail account and then using a different phone created a new Google Home 'network'. We started reconnecting one Mini at a time. This is where things got interesting.
Each time we connected a mini it would only broadcast to itself and the the ones we had already connected would stop working. We had to go in and reboot every mini every time we added a new mini. Eventually,, all were reconnected and rebooted and we could broadcast to/from every room. The issue with the lights is still ongoing-the receiving minis still light up and will not turn off until told to stop. Additionally, we noticed that you do not have to wait for Google to reply "What's the message?" before broadcasting. and sometimes the messages come through incomplete. It is obvious that the minis are not communicating with each other properly.
How can we fix this?

Reviewing other threads we checked a few things- our Continuous Conversation was not enabled. We also disabled voice calls. No change.

Hi GlassFamily,
Apologies for the delay. That certainly isn’t the experience we want you to have.
Since you’ve established that the broadcast is working, this might be an isolated case where the lights on your Google Home Mini remain after the command. We appreciate you doing the troubleshooting steps; however, have you also tried doing the factory reset? If not yet, here’s how:
Doing the factory reset should restore your device to its default state. You need to set it up again.
Once done, try the broadcast feature again, but this time around, leave the other 3 unplugged, leaving only 2 Nest speakers, and see if the behavior persists.
Best,
Dan

Hey GlassFamily,
Have you tried the troubleshooting steps that Dan suggested? Let me know if that did the trick or not, so we can try something else.
Thanks,
Lovely
