I have 3 Google Nest mini speaker and my ecobee connected to Home:
1. living room speaker
2. family room speaker
3. upstairs speaker
I used to have 1 & 2 connected in a group called "first floor". That has disappeared.
I can see all these devices under "settings" and can play music on each.
When I go to create a new speaker group:
settings-> + -> Add - "speaker group" only 2 & 3 show up as being available to create a group. Living room speaker does not show up as an option to add to the group, despite showing up on my devices.
All speakers are part of the home group and are on the same network connected.
I have tried re-adding "living room speaker" but it doesn't show up as an option to add.
I am currently connected to it and can play music on it.
I've tried starting an entire new "Home" - same home, same address, just a different name to start from scratch, but none of the devices show up as being available to add.
I have tried doing this from my chromebook but it's the same problem.
Why is this so wonky? I just want to create a group and have wasted hours.
What do I need to do?
Thank you.

Hi CCM,
Thanks for reaching out. I apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing. We'll work together to identify the cause of the problem and find a solution. A few questions: when did it begin? Were there any recent changes before it started? Also, is the Google Home app updated?
You can try to do a factory reset on your Google Nest Mini. This erases all your personalized settings and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again. Check out the article below to know more about it.
Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays
