Google Home WiFi

Trekker182

I previously had a thread where my Home would randomly disconnect from WiFi.  It was suggested to reset it and I have.  It worked for 2-3 weeks, but now it’s happening again so the reset didn’t work.

I’ll reset it again & it will work for random times a few days or hours before the same issue happens again.  I’m pretty sure I’m out of warranty so I’m guessing at this point that it’s hardware.

Are you doing a factory reset of the device or simply just unplugging it and then back in?

A factory reset I hold down the button in the back and I get a count up lights and verbal warning.

Have you tried factory resetting your wifi?

I'm not going to do that because I have 40+ other devices that are working fine on the same wifi network with no issues.

If this is out of warranty that's fine I will only buy Amazon Echo devices from now on as I have two for the past 3+ years with no issues.

I wanted to give Google a try as it integrated nicely with my Pixel phones, but if this issue continues I will have to choice but to go Alexa.

Thanks.

Hello Trekker182, thanks for reaching out. Since you are unable to reboot your WiFi, could you please try to connect the affected device to a mobile hotspot? Does the issue still occur? Please keep us updated, we're here to help!
