I am so frustrated with the lack of connectivity between Google Home and my other smart devices. Over the past 1 to 2 years I've been having increasingly frequent issues with Google not being able to connect to Sonos and to hue. Sonos has permanently disconnected and will not take any commands from Google. Hugh is intermittently disconnected and I cannot figure out how to fix it when it becomes disconnected. Right now Google will not even allow me to sync devices.
The common response that I get from Google when I try to control my hue lights is "sorry, I'm having trouble connecting to Philips hue". Right now when I'm trying to sync devices, it says "sorry something went wrong and I'm unable to control your home device". Usually when I ask to sync devices, it will sync everything except Hue and Sonos. It's all over the place now. I'm falling back on Alexa to control my lights because Google never works anymore.
I have over 50 lights and seven Sonos speakers. How do I fix this without turning this into a giant mess and having to factory reset everything?

Hi,
Removing the devices and then reconnecting them to Google Home seems to have worked!

Any of my specific Google devices are not the issue and they do not lose connection to the Internet. They do not lose connection to other devices, only Sonos and hue. The hue connection comes and goes seemingly at random. Show had been disconnect completely for a while. For hue, this affects all my Google devices at once, including commands I make directly to the Google home app on my phone. I've tried erasing all the days and cache on my Google home app as well. It's significantly more important that I fixed the connection with Hue.

Hey Anonymousjoiufd,
Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. I appreciate @RachelGomez123 for helping here.
To confirm, do you have a Google Home/Nest device? If yes, are you having the same issue controlling your Philips Hue devices via voice command? Also, are you able to manually control the smart devices on the Google Home app itself?
Looking forward to your response.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hello-
Yes, I have a Google hub max and several google home minis. When the voice commands aren't working, they fail across all Google home devices. Also, the hue devices show as "disconnected" in Google home. However, they are all still connected to the Internet as I can control them through the hue app and switches with no issues. I can also use Alexa to control hue at all times with no problems, even when Google devices stop working with hue.
Sonos is a separate issue and has been permanently disconnected from Google home.

Hey Anonymousjoiufd,
Thanks for the added information. Does the same thing happen when you use the Google Assistant app on your phone? Also, are you able to control your Philips Hue devices manually from the Google Home app itself? The best thing that we can do is to unlink and relink your Philips Hue account from the Google Home app to refresh the connection of your devices. Just a heads up, doing it will require you to assign the lights again to their designated room in the Home app.
Let us know if you want to proceed.
Cheers,
Muddi

How do I remove hue devices? It's not very evident.
Yes I have the same problems when I speak commands directly to Google home on my phone.
