Google Home randomly removes devices home/room location!!

I've seem several posts about other people having the same issue but none of their posts are fully addressed...... The issue is that Google Home just randomly removes the home/location of devices for no apparent reason. This is extremely annoying when you have 20-30 devices....and it's not with one specific device vendor or any network issue or changes

I am a 20y IT engineer and I can attest this is NOT  occurring for any home local network issue, this problem is on the Google servers where Home app runs.....

if responding please avoid pointing to a wifi or local network or internet issue, this is not the problem.... Please help, thanks

Hi imrj,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that your home location is removed randomly from the Google Home App; no worries, I am here to help! To understand better your situation, I need to ask some questions.

Do you only have one mobile device to check the Google Home app?

When you add your address, do you follow these next steps?

  1. Open the Google Home app.

  2. At the top right, tap your account.

  3. Verify that the Google account shown is the one linked to your Google device.

    • To switch accounts, tap the triangle next to the Google Account, then tap another account or Add another account.

  4. Tap Manage your Google Account Personal Info.

  5. Under “Addresses,” tap Home or Work.

  6. Enter your address.

  7. Tap Save.

I will be awaiting your response.

Regards,

Manuel
