We have two Google Home speakers (not the newer Nest ones). They are able to turn on/off the lights in some rooms, but not all. The rooms they are not in get the "Sorry, it looks like the X light isn't available right now" error. The speakers are in different rooms and are able to control different rooms. The Kitchen lights work when using one speaker but not the other, while the bedroom is vice versa, but then the dining room doesn't work on either speaker.
If I open the Home app on my phone and tap any room, no problem - lights on/off as needed.
I've factory reset the Google homes. Everything is in the same "Home", just in different rooms. All lights are definitely linked correctly. I've reconnected them and it happens to different types/companies of light bulbs.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Hey CluelessNomad,
Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on.
A few questions: was it working before? If so, were there any recent changes on your network? Also, what's the brand of the lights you have?
Give these steps a try:

I'm not sure what ADT Smart Home and Blue by ADT are, but they are not in the linked services. All the apps for which I have lights are listed, including the lights that don't work.
I have reset both Google Homes to their factory settings and re-added them in the Home app. The lights still don't work.
Any other ideas?
Thank you for your continued help.

Hey CluelessNomad,
We understand. Could you please provide us the following information:

First, a new finding: telling the google Homes to "turn on all lights" does turn on the lights that don't work when the room name is used. "Turn off all lights" also works.
To answer your questions:
1. They are 1.56.291758 (a Google Display) and 1.56.282045 (a Google Home).
2. The affected lights are Wixsann SQPA6012s and Philipps Hue A19 Whites
3. The router is a Google Wifi AC-1304
Thanks.

Hi princess,
Yes, I saw your post and filled out the form. I've been emailing back and forth on that. I'm not sure whether this thread is still important since I'm getting help from another path. I suppose you can lock the thread, but my issue has not been resolved yet.
Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your suggestions.
1. This one I'm not sure about - could you explain where this is in the Home app?
2. I just tried this again - no change.
3. I tried this as well - no change.
All these suggestions are for the phone, correct? Because I can control all lights just fine with my phone. I always could. It is ONLY the Google Home devices that cannot control certain lights. And the lights they CAN control are different, meaning they each have a different set of lights that they can control.

Hello Alex, and thank you for your reply.
1. They were both working fine before - this started recently without changes to the network or additions of new devices.
2. I have rebooted the router (also a Google router), both Google homes, and the lights. I also factory reset the Google Homes because they are my primary suspect atm because of how different lights work with different Google Homes.
3. I have removed and re-added the lights.
4. When I tell both Google Homes to sync devices, I get the same "Something went wrong" error.
The lights are from multiple companies - Magic Home, Hue, and TP-Link.
