Google Max Hub camera no longer online since adding the google door bell

Hi All,

Im new to this google device thing and I’m so frustrated today. After our Google Max hub was working fine for the last 2-3 weeks, I went to add the google doorbell today and it’s been a disaster. Thanks to your feeds I was able to finally get the doorbell to connect but I had to create a second home and load it first. Then delete the home max hub device, factory reset it and add to the new home and delete the old home. However, that all said now the Max hub camera doesn’t work….the only solutions I’ve seen on here are to add the Hub first but then the doorbell doesn’t work. I’ve spent hours (no exaggeration either) on this and only bought the doorbell as I thought it would be completely compatible. I’ve turned everything including wifi on and off etc. Help would be very much appreciated as this shouldn’t be so hard.

Hi Brad,

Yes help is still required. I have completed factory resets etc and I know the hub works fine without the doorbell it’s the combination that seems to be the problem. Doorbell is functioning as it should loaded first and the rest of the Max hub works it’s just the hubs camera that won’t work since adding the door bell.
I would love assistance in this these are expensive devices that should work in their entirety together being both Google products.
Thanks

Hi Jake, yes help is still required. Our doorbell was deemed faulty as it wouldn’t charge so it has been replaced and I was hoping this would fix the issue but this has not been the case. The google doorbell works but again it had to be loaded first or the system couldn’t find it. So it meant an uninstall and reinstall of the Hub Max but still no luck (we have also tried multiple factory resets). Every other aspect of the Hub Max works except it’s camera remains offline. We know the camera works as prior to owning the doorbell it worked fine. We only went the google doorbell as we didn’t want compatibility issues and we seem to have that even staying with the same brand.
