I bought an additional speaker at Christmas to create a speaker pair in my bedroom. The speakers are both Gen 2s. When I ask Ok Google to play something, I am now getting an announcement saying that I should check the power and wifi connection to the new speaker. The requested music then plays on the old speaker. The speaker that won't play is closer to the wifi router than the one that plays, they both have good wifi signal.

No, I'm not casting to them, I'm using OK Google to request a radio station or using routines for the same. Is the problem connected to the Sonoe IP lawsuit? I use these as alarms and I can't afford to miss the alarm so I've had to de-pair them and use only one until there is a fix.

Hi folks,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
@MikeClark, thanks for your suggestion!
@JonnyTheJig, we appreciate all your effort on trying the steps. Let's go ahead and unpair the speakers first and link it back after. You may follow these steps to unlink it:
Important: After you unpair your speakers, you need to relink the device that was on the right side to your Google Account:
On the home screen, your 2 speakers should be listed separately.
Let us know if these steps work.
