Google Mini Speaker (1st gen) "There is a glitch"

As of the last few months my Google Mini Speakers have slowly stopped working. As of 2 weeks ago, they completely stopped working all together. It started with slow response time and then saying "sorry, there was a glitch, try again in a few seconds" it would also randomly respond in a different room. Now, i have absolutely NO CONTROL over my household. The speakers will take up to a full minute just to tell me "there was a glitch" or do something random, like starting Pandora in a different room. Since i can't talk to them, i have to go into the app and manually make it stop. What is happening?!? I went with and kept the Google assistant echo system because i wanted the privacy that Alexa never had and constantly got lawsuits for. Now I have half a smart home and no way to control it. It's so frustrating to build your life around this technology and spend hundreds of dollars to do so and it just 100% crashes. I'm also at a major dismay that i am see MANY posts about this and not a single one has been addressed. I have to sell your products at work google. Do better. Reach out AT LEAST on your own forum. Until this is fixed or at bare minimum addressed with a time line for a fix, I'm not going to sell your products and will encourage others in my massively large cellphone company to not as well. DO BETTER!!!

I'm in absolutely the same boat here...don't know whether to scrap it or await some kind of input or update.

I thought it was to do with my own settings ...

I woke up this morning to my bed time ocean waves setting...no idea how long it had been playing 🤔

Fed up with it!

Google Assistant and Echo (which is Alexa) are 2 separate things, but I'm afraid if you want privacy, Assistant is no better than Alexa. It definitely looks like multiple people are experiencing the issue

Hello everyone,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry for this experience.

If you haven't already, please reboot your WiFi router and Google Home and Nest devices for three to five minutes. Once powered on, try asking it some questions to confirm whether it now works or not. You may change the Assistant language to either English US, English CA or English UK if the issue persists.

Keep me posted.

Best,
Lovely

Hi all,

I want to see if you've tried the suggested steps above. Please inform me if the issue remains so we can try something else.

Cheers,
