Google Nest Audio keeps disconnecting

Hi,

last week we have buyed 4 Google Nest Audios to use in our house, but these things are more UNuasble then we can use them.
The connection is 100% on wi-fi (as seen in the unifi controller) but after some playing first 1 speakers (right one) goes out, after a couple seconds the other speakers stops playing and gives us something went wrong, give it another try...
i'm busy to get it working for days now, but i'm lost in the paradise of settings and makes us really frustrating.

I reset the speakers to default several times, and connect them again, and again, and again the network, and also make stereo groups again or use them single, but the troubles stays, on all google speakers..
They never played a track/stream longer then 5 minutes without any error / trouble.
If there is not be a fix soon i will send them all back and never use any google speakers anymore.
We also have 6x HEOS and 2x Sonos, these speakers works perfecty on our network without any interruption.
I'm out of settings of these **bleep** speakers of google. Please help.

Thanks for answering Jake..

Still having issues with the speakers when try to play from wireless laptop to wireless google speakers..

When using the laptop wired, everything works perfect.

It has something to do between the connection laptop > access point > switch/dhcp gateway > access point > speakers.

I don't know if this ubiquiti related or google nest audio, but our heos and sonoff does not have this issue..

I'm having the same issues. I have 2 UAP-AC-LR and UAP-AC-Pro and 15 minis. I can not pin point why some cut out randomly and others don't and then other times none play after they have been playing fine all day. It's very frustrating.

Hey BarryT,

I am glad to hear you were able to get the issue resolved. With that being the case, I am going to lock the thread at this time. If you run into any questions from here, please feel free to create a new post.

It has something to do with the DTIM and DHCP in Unifi.

Since i changed DTIM of 2.4 to 1 and DTIM of 5ghz to 3 (default) it looks like the ussue has gone..

Please turn everything to OFF in wireless settings and downgrade firmware access points to 4.3.20 since this is the most stable firmware, everything works perfectly.

Since firmware v5 they changed some dhcp settings with a result that many devices (iot mostly) randomly disconnects..

Since v4.3.20 uptime on (iot) devices are +30 days without any interruption.

I hope this helps you to!

Let me know 🙂
