Google Nest Mini 2nd stops working

Currently, Google Nest has stopped responding to my commands. Even though I can see 3 lights for Hey Google Wake Word, it's not answering my requests. Rebooting the device also didn't solve the problem.

I was able to set up the device successfully without any issues.

Any help on this will be much appreciated

I know how it feels to not have a working device when needed. I'd love to help! 

 

A few questions:

 

  • What color is the LED status light on your device?
  • Does your speaker never respond to the hotword or does it only respond sometimes?
  • How long did the device work as intended before the customer experienced this symptom?
  • How often does this happen?
  • How far are you from your device when giving a command?
  • Does the same issue occur when others speak to the speaker?
  • What kind of environment does the device fail in? Examples: Is the environment noisy, normal, or quiet.

 

Let's go ahead and reset your device. Please follow the steps below to know-ow:

 

  1. At the side of your device, switch the mic off. Once the mic is disabled, the LEDs should turn orange.
  2. Press and hold (long press) the top center of the device where the lights show.
  3. After 5 seconds, the device begins the factory reset process. Continue to hold (long press) for about 10 seconds more until Google Assistant signals the start of the factory reset.

What color is the LED status light on your device? -- White Light 

  • Does your speaker never respond to the hotword or does it only respond sometimes? it reacts with white light every time after the hot word, but no voice over 
  • How long did the device work as intended before the customer experienced this symptom? 2 weeks before it was working fine
  • How often does this happen? every time
  • How far are you from your device when giving a command? next to the device
  • Does the same issue occur when others speak to the speaker? yes
  • What kind of environment does the device fail in? Examples: Is the environment noisy, normal, or quiet. --quiet

Reset was successful, but after adding to the home, its the same issue as mentioned above

I appreciate your efforts. To further isolate the issue, please try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Google Nest Mini). Let's see if your device will have the same behavior. Also, could you tell us when and where you purchased your device?
