Google Nest Mini fails to authenticate with Google servers

See previous post: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Nest-Mini-says-it-s-offline-but-has-int...

After moving house, ISP etc.. All of my other nest minis work fine.

However this same device has the same issue. It's connecting to my wifi fine. Has internet connection.

It is likely a certificate issue or something else cryptography related causing the auth error.

The firmware is the same on this device as my others (329896)

We get 99% through setup only to fail at the end updating the settings.

For now the device is useless!

This is a problem affecting many users. See here for example. https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Google-Nest-mini-2-won-t-finish-configu...

It's been months and this bug persists. I will take this matter to twitter if you do not address this ASAP. It is unacceptable.

It affects your entire product line. It's a certificate issue. Fix it.

If your Google Nest or Google Home speaker or display is having trouble connecting to your Google Account, try the steps below:

Make sure your speaker or display is connected to Wi-Fi and your internet is working.
Reboot your speaker or display using one of the methods below:
From the Google Home app:
Android iPhone & iPad
Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
Touch and hold your device's tile.
At the top right, tap Settings and then More More menu and then Reboot.
Unplug Google Nest or Google Home
Unplug the power cord from your speaker or display.
Leave it unplugged for one minute.
Plug the power cord back in.

Hi BeauW,

Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused you. I'm jumping in to ensure everything is good here. Have you seen RachelGomez123 last response? If so, in addition to the above reply, may I confirm if all the other Nest Minis are working fine and only one is not? Is it not connecting to your new ISP and router/modem? What phone are you using for the set up?

Let us know of the answers so we could take a closer look at them.

Kind regards,

Dan
