Google Nest Mini

My Google Nest Mini doesn’t respond at all. No lights are working and can’t find it in Google Home. Tried to unplug it 11 times. No response. Sometimes two lights are blinking. But no response either or traceable in Google Home.

Hi xaviermaassen,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I apologize that your Google Nest Mini doesn't respond even though you tried to unplug it many times, but it still doesn't work. I understand how frustrating this can be. I'm here to help.

Before I begin, I need to ask a few questions for further assistance:

Please keep me posted. I look forward to your response.

Regards,

Byron

Hello Byron, Google Nest Mini (2nd gen). Two white lights. But I haven’t seen them recently. Now there are no lights and no reaction whatsoever.

Hi xaviermaassen,

Thank you for your response. Based on the answers provided. Please do the following:

Before I proceed and do the workaround, please submit the feedback to the Google Home app. Here are the steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap and hold your device's tile Settings or More menu, and then Settings.
  3. Tap recognition & sharing.
  4. Toggle the slider to turn it on.

After you submit the feedback, follow the below steps:

Try to do a factory data reset one more time:

  1. On the side of the device, unplug the power cord, wait 10 seconds, then plug the power cord back in and then wait until the 4 LEDs light up.
  2. Repeat the first step 8 more times.
  3. On the side of the device, switch the mic off. The LED lights turn orange.
  4. Press and hold the top of the device (where the LED lights are).
  5. After 5 seconds, the device begins the reset process.
  6. Continue to hold the top of the device for 10 seconds more or until the Google Assistant confirms that the FDR has started.
  7. Wait until the device announces, “Welcome to Google Home." Use the Google Home app to set up the device.
  8. After the setup is complete, test the device with any voice command.

Let me know how it goes and keep me posted.

Regards,

Byron

Hello Byron,

Two things, I deleted the Google Nest from my Google Home app since it was offline for a while and I wanted to reinstall it. So I don't see it now in the app. I can't find it either when an Add  Google Nest equipment.

Second, if I unplug the power cord, wait 10 seconds, then plug the power cord back in and then wait there are no LEDs that light up. Not one.

Let me know what to do.
