I have Next hub 2nd gen for 1 year + , and recently the screen turned black , but its still functioning, can see the background's light moving but a huge black screen on top of it.
I've tried several tips like rebooting it, plug off the cables, and even factory reset.
now i cant connect or pair back with my phone device because after the factory reset, the black screen is still there and block the pairing number.
what can i do now ? i cant pair the device , i cant see the content and the black screen is still visible.
help pls, thanks !

i am having the exact same problem.

HI Derick,
i have done all these steps:-
1) pull off the wires and plug it back after 24 hours
2) pull the plug off
3) off the router and restart
4) restart the nest 2 device itself
5) lastly, Factory reset
Now i cant even use the basic command as the screen is black and i cant pair it with my phone because i cant see the numbers for pairing.
