Hi,
I have two google smart speakers. One of the older google home small speakers and one of the new nest mini speakers. Both all of a sudden stopped working and started continually saying they were trying to connect to wifi. I removed both from my network and the google home app detects that they need to be setup. When I go in to set them up, it continually says it cannot add them because they need a factory reset. There I see no way to physically factory reset these speakers. Can you please tell me what I need to do?

Do none of these factory reset instructions apply to your speakers?

Hi there, I have the same problem with my Audio nest pair and I have removed them from Google home and done a factory reset and add them again for several times. it didn't help me. I guess it has something with my AVM Fritzbox.

Hi folks,
@MplsCustomer, @RachelGomez123, we appreciate all your help and info.
@corn, @Shahram, I'm sorry to hear you're having concerns with your Nest speakers connection to your Wi-Fi. I do hope that you've tried the steps provided above, especially the factory reset to revert your devices back to its default settings. Setting it up is a must. In addition, move your speakers near your router so that we can narrow things down. By the way, don't forget to do a sequential reboot starting with your router followed by your speakers. Restarting your phone might also help.
Keep me posted.
Best,
Dan

Hi Shahram,
Thanks for responding. Could you please verify the distance of your Google Nest speakers from the router? Let's make sure that the devices are close to the router for better connection.
Keep us posted.

hi @Princesss,

Hi Shahram,
Thanks for the additional info. Have you already tried to connect your devices in a different network? Let's go ahead and try that first so we can isolate the issue further. If there are no available network to connect with, you may try using a mobile hotspot as an option.
Best,
Princess
