Google assistant can’t play Apple Music on my LG soundbar

I have an LG SH-7B soundbar that is connected by Wi-fi, Bluetooth, and Google Cast.  When I ask my google home mini to play other music services such as Spotify or XM on the soundbar, it works great. If I ask to play Apple Music, it says 'playing (whatever I requested) from Apple Music on soundbar' but nothing happens. 

My workaround is to play it on my phone and connect to the soundbar using Bluetooth. But that is inconvenient since my phone is not usually connected to the soundbar.

Thanks for reaching out. 

 

A quick question: was it working before? Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router and connected to the same network. Try relinking your Apple Music account from your Google Home app. If you get the same result, reboot your LG soundbar, Google Home Mini and router to refresh the connection.

None of the suggestions helped. I am new to Apple Music so this is the first time I have tried this connection.   Other music services work fine on the soundbar when played from my mini. The soundbar is part of my home in google home.
