Google home not activating with utility, even after a factory reset.

Apologize for the late response. How was your Google Home device? Are you still having issue activating your speaker? Could you run us through what happened? Also, please give us a rundown of the troubleshooting steps you've tried.

Thanks for visiting the Community. 

Since this thread hasn't had activity in a while, we're going to close it to keep content fresh. 

We hope you were able to get the help you need but if you're still having trouble, please give these steps a try: 

 

  • Reset your devices
  • Download the Device Utility app
  • Open the Device Utility app.
  • Allow Location access.
  • Turn on Bluetooth.
  • Disconnect the phone from the Wi-Fi network.
  • The app starts to look for devices.
  • Activate the device.
  • Finish the activation.
  • If all fails, try setting up your devices using a different phone.
