Google home mini disconnects from wifi on a daily basis

I have a google home mini, that disconnects from the wifi every day. I'm manually reconncecting the speaker back to the wifi, and when trying to use a command on the next day the device say: "I can't connect to the wifi network, you might want to check your settings in the google home app".

On the google home app the device appears "grayed out" so i need to connect it as a new device.. this is happening every day for over a year, I just stopped using the speaker.

I tried the 5G wifi and the 2.4 wifi, both are disconnecting, and it's the only device that disconnects from the wifi every day. I checked the router and there's no special rule or policy to disconncect this specific device.

Any help?

I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should. Let's get this sorted out. What is the firmware version of your Google Home Mini device? Try doing the troubleshooting steps below:

  • Configure the DNS settings on your router to and
  • Reboot the router, unplug it for 2 mins.
  • Factory reset your Google Home Mini.
  • Set up on the 2.4 GHz band.


Monitor its behavior and let me know how it goes.
