I've had both google home and siriusxm for a few years. I never really tried to play a sirius channel directly from the speaker. I can pick my speaker directly from the sirius app and play a station, but I cannot say "Hey Google, play The Bridge on siriusxm" Google home says It looks like your trial subscription to sirius has ended or that channel is not included in your subscription. Neither case is true. I now have sirius linked in my google home app, but I still get the same result whenever I try to have google home play any sirus station.
Any ideas on what I can do to get this working?
Thanks

Hi bobyera1
My SiriusXM also worked fine for the last several years. When Google forced out the latest Google Home update (I received it last week (06/03/2023), it broke all things SiriusXM for me.
Sadly, both the Google Tech Support People you can call into over the phone, and the Community Nest self proclaimed "specialists" and/or so called "experts" here in this community, are completely useless, or I should say clueless.
This latest screw up with killing peoples ability to play SiriusXM channels through Google Assistant happened right after the latest Google Home update previously stated, yet the tech supports wizards are in denial about that. It's as if they don't see the connection, "A new Google Home Update, > then > no more SiriusXM functionality through Google Assistant" for the people who bought these crappy Nest Audio Speakers.
They should be embarrassed for themselves. They ask you all sorts of questions (as if they care), then never follow up with a fix or support.
Unreliable people sorry to say.
If I ever get a fix for this problem, I will reply and forward you that info. Please do the same for me. Thanks.
(we unfortunately can't rely on the "specialists" here)

Thanks for the update iRzapper. It is disappointing to hear their support staff is lacking. Up until a couple of weeks ago, I don't think I tried starting Sirius with a voice command. I usually started it from a Sirius app either on my PC, or phone. That always worked, still does. But it should work by voice command, but I get a different error than you. Google home tells me after requesting a Sirius station, "It looks like your trial subscription to sirius has ended or that channel is not included in your subscription" - which isn't true. Hopefully it will start working after the next update.

bobyera1,
Did you get the most recent Google Home Update? It was basically an "interface" update, changing the way things look when you open Google Home with some new buttons, (but obviously they didn't do some basic testing before launching it to all, given the overwhelming problem with SiriusXM)
So I also called SiriusXM relating to my issue, they told me they are getting many calls for support from people who can no longer play SiriusXM after this Google Home update. They said it's a Google thing to fix..... You can try to call the SiriusXM support people, they, unlike Google, actually care about the people who bought their products and services, and provide great support.
They might be able to help you out.

I did get that update, but I don't think it was working for me before the update. I think I might give the Sirius tech support a shot.
Thanks

boyera1,
Something SiriusXM asked me to in trying to identify if my issue was a SiriusXm thing or a Google thing, (if you already know this or did this, I'm sorry for wasting your time), First, they of course they had me uninstall the SiriusXM app, and reinstall it. Then I tried uninstalling the Google Home app, and then reinstalling it. SiriusXM then had me unlink and relink the SiriusXM app to Google Home under the Google Home "Settings > Services > Radio.
All basic stuff, but didn't fix the Google Assistant problem with not playing anything from SiriusXM.

Hey folks,
My apologies for the delays. I know how it feels when you can't listen to your favorite radio stations on SiriusXM using your Google Home/Nest devices. To confirm, does the same issue happen when you use the Google Assistant app on your phone?
@iRzapper: We appreciate you for sharing those steps. Please note that SiriusXM is only supported in the US, that's why changing the device language to EN_US fixed the issue. For reference, please visit SiriusXM help center on this link.
Cheers,
Muddi

UPDATE on 06/16/2023, regarding the problem with Google Assistant not Playing any channels from SiriusXM on my Nest Audio Speakers after the most recent Google Home Update:
I changed the Google Assistant "voice setting" from English (Australian), to English (United States), now I can request of Google Assistant to play any/all channels from SiriusXM on my updated Google Home structure, and all the music plays just fine, just like it did before the most recent Google Home update I received on 06/03/2023
After two weeks with this problem, this fix was provided by someone I was finally was able to locate at Google who knew what he was doing, made the time to help, and went out of his way to help me solve the problem. His name is "Albert", he saved the day when nobody else at Google Tech Support and/or within this Community could.
Thank you Albert.

My fix ended up being unlinking and then linking up SiriusXM in the Google home app. I did have to do it 2 or 3 times before it worked.
