Hey all,
I've recently changed my broadband provider. Resetting my Google Chromecast devices (I've got 2 home mini and Lenovo smart clock). Kept getting ap isolation messages so had the provider check and turn it off. Still no luck they said it could be CGNAT (not sure what that means) or that I might need a static IP anyone had same issue before??

Hello @ZachB97
Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community about this disconnection on your Nest devices. I apologize for all the inconvenience. I'm here to help you with that.
I appreciate the information you shared with me. CGNAT (Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation) is a network technology that assigns multiple devices a single public IP address. It can sometimes interfere with network-based services like Chromecast.
I suggest contacting your broadband provider to confirm if they use CGNAT. If so, requesting a static IP address can help resolve CGNAT issues.
Feel free to post again if you have questions. We're here to help.
Best regards,
Douglas.
