Google mini

I asked my bedroom speaker (google mini) to stop playing music on the living room speaker (google mini), but the music continues to play.  From the bedroom speaker, I can start music on the livingroom speaker, change its volume, switch sources, etc. but it can't stop it. It used to work.  They are on the same network.

I also tried to create a group with those two speakers and asked the group to play music but misic only plays from one speaker.

I then tried starting and stopping music on the other speakers in my house and they all worked.

I unplugged the livingroom speaker, waited and powered it on again,  I asked to start and stop and it worked. I did it again and it failed.  Repeated it and it worked.  So intermittent success.  Asking it to play music on the group speaker still only results with one speaker playing music.

Hey TLC,

 

Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. This is not the experience that we want you to have with your Google Home Mini.

 

Let's try these steps below:

 

  1. Move your Google Home Mini within 15-20 ft. away from the router to get enough signal from your network.
  2. Reboot your Google Home Mini and router by disconnecting them from the power source and leave them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals.
  3. Check if your devices will have the same behavior.
