Until recently I could switch all my tapo switched on and off via google home. Now I can turn the switches ( attached to lights) on but when I ask google to switch them off o am told they are already off.

Tapo app works fine

google home app won’t let me switch them off and doesn’t recognise them as being on some of the Time

have rebooted google home

unlinked and relinked tapo

tried reasoning with google

nothing seems to fix the issue

tapo firmware all updated

google home app updated

Hello Tedbear,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

I appreciate all the details you've shared and I can see that you have done most of the steps to resolve this. Could you please tell us the exact command that you have used as well as its exact response? Also, let's try rebooting your router simply by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes. As soon as it is completely plugged in, try saying "Ok Google, sync my devices".

Let me know if this command works.

Best,

Princess

Hi Tedbear,

That's awesome! Glad to know that it is already working now.

Since this has been resolved, we'll consider this complete and will lock the thread now. Feel free to start a new one anytime you need assistance with your Google Nest speakers and the Community would gladly lend a hand.

Cheers,

Princess
