Google nest mini not working to control Roku tv volume

When I say “hey google, turn up the volume on my bedroom Roku” or “hey google, unmute the bedroom Roku” my Google nest mini speaker responds with “sorry, volume is not yet supported” or “sorry, unmute is not yet supported” even though it was working yesterday. I’ve tried contacting Google to no avail. I’ve unplugged both devices, unlinked Google and Roku, and restarted my WiFi.

Hi @zwam96!

Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconveniences that you’ve been experiencing when trying to control your Roku TV using your Nest Mini. I can see that you are trying to use some voice command that used to work before, but now the Roku TV is not responding to them. Let me help you in this.

As the command is not being recognized, then I will suggest you check if your Roku TV is linked to your Google Home app. Then try to use some different voice commands like “Hey Google, increase the volume on the TV” and “Hey Google, mute the TV.”

You can check the following article: Connect third-party smart home devices in the Google Home app.

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Daniel.

Hi @Guarcax! thanks for this information. I have linked and unlinked my Roku and google account a few times to see if there was a connection issue, and the problem still persists.

Then here I send you the feedback form where you can put your suggestions and experience with this issue.
