I have a google home and a google mini.
They appear to recognize when I say hay google, as the lights turn on and there is a "bing" sound. They will turn lights on and off. But there is no audible answer to my requests.
For example I asked to set a timer and there was no audible confirmation that it was set but the timer did go off after the alotted time.
If I ask what time it is the lights respond for a bit but nothing is said.
This is happening on both of my devices.
Note they were both working this morning

Same thing is happening to me as well. I was just jumping online to see if there was a known outage. I’m in Utah.

Same issue on my kid’s speaker and tried trouble shooting and doing factory reset but still no response. I can tell the prompts are being heard as the alarms get set and go off when prompted (as an example) but no audible response to confirm the prompt at all.

I am having the exact same issue. I factory reset mine and no hope. If anyone knows how to fix this please share.

June 20th two minis and both are not responding with an audible as well. This has to be an update failure because I am having the exact problems everyone here is explaining as well as full resets and setup not helping.

I’ll try not to make this too long or confusing. I have the same issue sometimes but only when I accidentally have my Google Bluetoothed up to my sound bar then I pair up my iPhone to same sound bar and your Google assistant is still working and speaking just paired with another device that is receiving the wrong input from my iPhone. Hope this helps you can do this on display or on home app. Just check your Bluetooth settings and forget paired devices. Thx for listening. Eric

I have this problem all the time but it’s no biggie. Your google speaks its just , in my case Bluetoothed up to my sound bar with my iPhone linked to same sound bar. On your display or your home app you wanna ( on display ) swipe up for menu, tap on the gear icon, then tap Bluetooth on your display. Now this is kinda the pain in the asz part; you gonna have to tap where it says “ forget paired devices” , now doing this should get your display back as your audio speaker only thing is your going to have to reconnect your speaker choice as default player. I hope that this helps I’m not to good at explaining things but I do know how to do certain things that I can’t or do not have the terminology to help people understand. Now I have noticed if your using your voice match then you say a command prompt “ starter “ and your not quite using your same tone voice, it will not recognize your voice and your device will not be associated with the unknown tone/ voice so your gonna get a response like ,” I don’t understand “ or “Bluetooth speaker is unpaired “ but it won’t respond through either speakers until you forget devices. Hope this helps. Eric

Appears that my issue has been resolved this morning and Google assistant reply seems to be functioning again.
