I have a telstra smart modem gen 2, I have a guest network that i am trying to connect the google home speakers 2, no matter what i do it will not connect to the guest network, but if i change it from the guest network to the normal 2.4ghz it connects no issue but i want it to run off the 2.4 guest network, everytime it says something went wrong and to make sure on my ios that local network is on which it is ? can anyone share how to change or setup a guest network to the speakers thankyou

When you are trying this, is your phone's Wi-Fi connected to that guest network and have you created a Google Nest "home/structure" in that guest network?

Hi Mpls,
yes my phone is connected to the same guest network, can you explain how to set up google nest structure?

The name of your Google Nest "home/structure" displays at the top of the initial screen in the Google Nest app and the Google Home app. Each Wi-Fi network has to have its own Google Nest "home/structure". So if you connect your phone to the guest network but you've set up your only Google Nest "home/structure" on your regular network, it's not going to work. If you have more than one Google Nest "home/structure", you have a dropdown at the top of the screen where you can select the "home" to which you want to connect. To add a new "home" in the Google Home app, click on the plus sign at the top of the screen and select "Create a new home".
We have only one Google Nest "home/structure", so I don't know how you create a new "home" on a different Wi-Fi network. Maybe it's as simple as adding the "home" when you're on that network.

Hi Gainey,
Sweet! Happy to hear that replacing your modem fixed the issue, and thanks for keeping me in the loop. Let me know if you still have questions and concerns otherwise, I'll be locking this thread after 24 hours.
