After opening Google Home in iOS select Automations and scroll down to a list of 7 Personal automations (i.e., Bedtime, Commuting home, Commuting to work, Good morning, etc.)
I would like to delete these automations as I no longer use them but cannot find a way to do so.
Please explain / tell me how to delete these Personal automations.
Thank you.

Those automations can't be deleted, but you can remove all actions and disable the automations as well.
It's just a quirk of the Google Home app.

@SmartHomeH-TAGS , appreciate the response, thank you.
One follow up, is the reason that they cannot be deleted because they are added by Google. and embedded in the device / OS?
I really do wish Google would allow us to delete clutter that we do not want!
Thank you.

That would be my assumption.
It was probably added in the early days of the smart home to help people learn about adding automations.

Appreciated though still unhappy about it!
One more follow up, I noticed that the last Automation titled workday has a line through the play button. Would appreciate help in getting rid of the line so that the automation works.
Thank you.

Even though there is a strike through the play symbol the Day-long routine does run. You just can't play it manually I suppose.
You could copy the routine from the editing page and make a new 'Workday 2' Day-long routine or make Personal Day-long routine from scratch.

Appreciated and interesting.
I note that the routine does not run (i.e., the selected Home Mini never interacts or speaks with me).
It follows, how does one initiate the routine?
Thanks.

Time trigger.
The Workday routine is the same as a Daylong routine.
Go back and try to add a Personal Routine and you'll see a pop-up question about starting a Daylong Routine.

@SmartHomeH-TAGS Appreciated and understood (i.e., time triggers). That said:
1. Is there a reason why does the Workday automation not run (i.e., why is there a line through the play button)?
2. Is its not running a Google thing (i.e., did Google an automation and then disable it simple so people could see how to create one) or is there some other explanation?
Thank you.

2. This Workday, Bedtime, Good Morning, I'm Home and I'm Leaving automations were probably pre-made for the inexperienced automators just starting out in Google Home.
1. The Workday routine can ONLY be started by time whereas a copied Workday routine (as I did) can be started by time and voice just like any other Google automation.

@SmartHomeH-TAGS appreciated, replicated and understood.
The outstanding question is why does Workday (created by Google) not run but Workday 2 (which is an identical copy that was created by me) does run?
Thx.
