Home gen 1 started "something went wrong" mid-Sept, now every time

Home gen 1 started "something went wrong" so have to repeat command, after that it works fine as long as you keep providing commands fairly often.  If say 30 minutes goes by with no new command (either while the device is not in use OR is in use like playing music) you have to go through the  "something went wrong" routine - occasionally get "there was a glitch", etc..  One of the recent restarts included a software update but no change in behavior.

I have done several full resets with no improvement.  s/n 8601A9DAWE

When was the last time your rebooted your router? It sounds like it's disconnecting from the network for some reason.  Since you have already factory reset the nest device try rebooting your router and see if this helps.

Thank you for the recommendation, the restart/set of the router has helped a great deal.

I had a similar issue a little while back and even before that it seemed like at least once a year I would have this problem. I recently found a fix that eliminates this problem. It doesn't always work for everyone and sometimes depending on how your network is set up it might not even work at all but its worth a shot.
Check out my post detailing the fix here
