Ensured routines are set to run on my Speaker. Unfortunately, it incorrectly adjusts the volume on my TV - which normally uses a setting 1/10 that of my speaker and just about blasts me out of the room when it resets the volume. The only solution so far is to turn off the TV before running the routine, muting doesn't work.

Hi Dave Sinnott,

Thanks for your message. Wow! I can definitely understand your concern, that is a loud and unwanted issue. I would be more than happy to help find a solution. First, I have some questions to get a better understanding of the situation.

  • Is this a new issue? Was your Google Nest Mini able to adjust the volume appropriately before?
  • Does the volume for the TV reset every time you turn it off?
  • Could you try to delete/recreate the routine? Does the issue still occur?
  • Could you explain what the action in your routine is that adjusts the TV volume?

Thanks for your patience, I look forward to helping you.
