Hello. I moved months ago and updated my address in Google Home and Places but my hub keeps displaying that I am 9 minutes from home and shows a map with directions to my previous address. I can't seem to find any way to update this.

I found instructions from 2018 posted in the older forums but they do not seem to apply anymore. Thank you for your help.

Hi Jhenox,

Thanks for reaching out. That sounds very unpleasant to have your Google Nest Hub show an inaccurate address. I understand your concern and would be more than happy to help resolve this issue! First, I have some questions regarding this situation.

  • Just confirming, do you have the correct address listed in the Google Home App?
  • Do you have the updated address on your actual Google Account?
  • Are you using a third party app for the map on your Google Nest Hub? If so, you may need to change your address in that respective app.
  • Is your device powering on and working normally besides this issue?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps to the Google Nest Hub device itself? If so, what have you tried so far?

Just a friendly reminder, here are the steps to change the home address of your devices

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. At the top, make sure your home name is listed. If needed, tap the name to change your home.
  3. Tap Settings  and then Home information and then Home address.
  4. Enter your address and then Save.

Note: When you change the home address, it will only affect the devices in the home you selected. You can edit or delete this address at any time.

I appreciate your patience and look forward to your response. Thanks!

Hello. Thank you for the reply. I have updated the address in the Google Home app under 'Home settings/Home information'. I also updated Home in Google Maps. I haven't found any other place where Home can be set. I am not using any third party apps. It's minor but maybe it's a bug? Do I need to remove the device from the Home and add it again? Thank you for your help.

We are having the same issue. Like you we have changed the address in the Home app settings and on Google Maps. Ours actually displays the travel time twice, once for me and once for my wife.
