The temperature recorded on my nest hub sleep sensing is wildly inaccurate (37°C, should be more like 23-25 at it's hottest.. I'm only in the UK!).
- is there an internal thermometer that needs recalibrating or is faulty?
Or
- is this picked up from weather data?
Any ideas?

Same with mine Nest Hub 2. Gen. .
First 0° Celsius, than a few weeks correct, now always 37° Celsius.
Best regards

Hello folks,
Thank you for providing details about the issue. I understand how frustrating it can be when experiencing difficulties with your Google Nest Hub (2nd gen). I have a few questions: when did the issue start? Does your Nest Hub provide an accurate temperature when you ask it?
To troubleshoot the problem, let's try re-calibrating the sleep sensing on your Nest Hub (2nd gen) and see if that resolves the issue. Please follow the steps below:
After re-calibrating, check if your device behaves normally. If the issue persists, please let me know and we can explore further solutions.
Cheers,
Muddi

Dear Muddi,
Thanks for your reply!
I tested the recalibration even a few times,
I also followed the suggestions in this similar thread: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Thermostats/Google-Nest-Hub-2nd-gen-not-showing-temperat...
A few days ago I even did a factory reset on my Nest Hub 2. Gen. by pressing 10 seconds both Volume Up and Down.
Now it says 36° Celsius instead of 37° Celsius. So, the sensor seems to work and is "recalibrated" when doing a factory reset, but the value is wrong. Should be around 21° Celsius.
I bought it last year in November. At the beginning the temperature was correct, then suddenly 0° Celsius, but since maybe 2 month it was 37° Celsius.
I don't know hows to "ask" for the temperature. I also have 2 Google Nest Audio, but the only way to get a look at the temperature seems to be inside the sleep report.
Cheers,
Joerg

Hey Joerg,
Thanks for the information. What is the current firmware version of your Nest Hub (2nd gen)? Also, do you have a thermostat? If yes, you can your device about the temparature.

Hello Muddy,
this is the information from my Nest Hub:
Systemfirmware: 11.20230306.3.112014
Cast-Firmware: 1.69.362882
Sorry, I do not have a thermostat from Google. Besides the Nest Hub I own two Nest Audio working as a Stereo Pair.

Hi there,
Thanks for the added information. To confirm, does it display the right weather temperature on the screen when you're device is on idle mode?
Cheers,
Muddi
08-09-2023 04:39 AM
Dear Muddi,
can you please explain what Idle mode means?
I only know of the internal temperatur sensor to be visible in the detailed sleep report within the Nest Hub.
Even e. g. Google Fit does not report the temperature from the sleep report.
Cheeers,
Joerg

Hey Joerg,
Idle or standby mode refers to the state of your device when it is not actively being used for activities such as playing music or movies. During this mode, you will see the weather displayed on the lower right corner of the screen, next to the clock. Also, you can ask your Nest display about the weather by using voice commands such as "Hey Google, what's the weather?" or "Hey Google, what's the temperature?" This will provide you with the current weather information.
Keep me posted.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hi Muddi,
ahh, ok, I see.
Yes, this is working without problems.
In fact I actually use the "weather full screen clock" on my Nest Hub to know if its's worth to stand up in the morning... 😀
Cheers,
Joerg

Hi,
Thanks for picking up the conversation Joerg!
I've tried recalibrating. The weather displays ok as I guess this is being read from a remote weather service rather than the unit itself?
Seems to be a problem with the internal thermometer (is there one?)

My Google Nest Hub 2 always shows wrong data value with sleeping-temperature sensor (something about, 31..37°C with real room-temperature data At 17..19°C.. I have Just done the HWreset (hold down both up/down volume buttons..), but the temperature data is wrong again...

Hi folks,
I just want to follow up if you are still experiencing this. Let us know by updating this thread.

Hi. The temperature seems to have corrected itself but still says it’s bright in the room when it’s pitch black.
12-14-2023 01:28 PM
Sleep temperature now displaying correctly. Showing 27C and that's around what room thermometer is showing (hot here).

Hi abugintheground,
here you can find all the information about the built in sensors:
Google says:
Temperature sensors determine the current temperature. This can be the ambient temperature in a room, or the temperature inside a device.
Nest Hub (2nd gen)
Measures ambient room temperature with Sleep Sensing to help you understand sleep environmental disturbances.
So the problem is that there is no access to the temperature sensor besides the sleep report, e.g. for calibrating.
Cheers,
Joerg

Hey guys!
Any news regarding this issue? My Nest Hub also started doing this random thing with the temperature and the light levels during sleep sensing.
Is there a fix for this?
Cheers,
SpikeGuy

Sleep report is also reporting 37c even though the ambient room temperature is more like 21c.
Weather report is working.
System firmware version: 11.20230306.3.112016
Update: After performing the Sleep Calibration - no change, still reports 37c overnight.
09-03-2023 03:45 AM
I have the same problem with my Nest Hub 2. Gen, the sleep report shows 40-41c, but the room is much cooler. My other thermometer shows 22 during the night.
The weather report work and the calibration did nothing.
My firmware version is 12.20230611.1.59 and my cast version is 1.70.375332.
09-04-2023 11:04 PM
Same here. My other thermometer show 22°C during nicht. My Nest Hub 2. Gen shows 37°C
Version der Systemfirmware: 11.20230306.3.112016
Cast-Firmware: 1.69.362882
Greetings Olivier
09-18-2023 01:00 AM
Same here.... 37°C and it's 23 degrees.....
10-09-2023 12:07 PM
I have had the same problem for some time as well. I have been just ignoring it. But it constantly says 99F for sleep temperature. Seems almost like a memory overwrite issue. Perhaps an engineering team should look into this.
10-10-2023 10:09 PM
Same problem here. 38 and always says room is bright. This is a replacement hub 2 from John Lewis, the first was always correct until the whole device died.
