We’ve just bought a Google Home Max and set up was a breeze connecting my iPhone app to it. I had full connectivity of the hub and set up facial / voice recognition etc.
Then my husband tried to connect to it but isn’t receiving an invite and even though his app can see the hub, he can’t set up facial recognition etc.
So we reset the hub and re-installed the apps and this time he set it up and tried to invite me….. but the invite won’t send and I can’t request access.
its so frustrating- we have tried for days now!
We checked before buying it and it definitely says different users can connect and have their personalised content on it, so that’s why we bought it!! That and to control our Hue lights and connect to our CCTV system. But if we can’t all connect then it’s no use to us!
Please can you help?

Are you both using normal personal Gmail accounts?
Once setup by one of you, it should just be a case of inviting the other account/email address to the home:
Share a home and devices in the Google Home app - Google Nest Help
The email address you invite must be a personal Gmail account, or if the person you’re inviting to the home uses another email provider, they must create a Google account using that email address. Once they receive and accept the invite, your device(s) will show up in their Nest or Google Home apps, as appropriate.
