Trying to set up Nest Mini and keeps saying can't communicate with Nest Mini when trying to connect to WiFi.

Thank you for your message. Oh no! That is not great to hear that your Google Nest Mini is not connecting to your WiFi. I understand your concern and would be more than happy to help find a solution. First, I have some questions. 

  • Is this the first time you are setting up your Google Nest Mini?
  • What country are you located in?
  • Is your Google Nest Mini showing up as connected in the Google Home App?
  • Where are you seeing the error message? On the device itself or the Google Home App?
  • Are you on the same WiFi network as your other devices? 
  • Have you tried connecting your Google Nest Mini to a mobile hotspot instead? What happens?
  • Can you please try to do a reboot and Factory Data Reset on your Google Nest Mini? Are there any improvements? 
    • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings. 
    • Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.
