Hi, I’ve just got a Google Home speaker and am trying to set my Spotify account as the default music platform. I followed the set up instructions and selected Spotify, the Google Home app opened my Spotify account/app, a box opened saying ’authorising’ followed by a tick, then nothing happens and the phone stays in my Spotify account. When I go back to my Google Home app the default platform does not change to Spotify. I’ve also tried to do this directly through the Google Home app. Any advice you have would be really appreciated. Thanks for bringing this up. Sorry to know that you're having issues linking your Spotify account to your Google Home/Nest device. A few questions: when did the issue start? What country are you located in? Have you tried using a different phone/tablet?
