Local Access Network + iPhone + Nest mini

I cannot connect my nest mini to my iPhone. The error reads to make sure my LAN is on - which it is - to restart/reboot my mini -which I have - and to restart my router - which I have done also. 

Regardless of these changes, I get the same error on both of my 1st & 2nd generation models.
