I’m not able to locate the Look and Talk setting. When I go to the face match settings in features—> google assistant, I only see an option to check off kitchen display. Am I missing something?
software version: 45.3.10.415344900
Cast firmware version: 1.56.295071
Help!

Hi there,
New features can take a while to fully roll out to all devices. Have a look at the Google Nest help center link below for more information about this feature.

I have the same problem. I’ve been checking every day since I heard about this feature and it’s never been there. I’m on the east coast USA.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for posting.
@Cathal_S, I appreciate your help.
@Aussicristo, @Pseguin219, we hope that we were able to answer your questions regarding this new feature. @Cathal is right, some features takes time to roll out before it will be available to all users. Keep in mind that you need to make sure that your Google Nest Hub Max is always turned on and connected to a stable Wi-Fi network to receive these updates.
Hope this helps!
Best,
Princess

I’ve been checking daily and still nothing.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the update.
Can you please tell us what country are you in? Also, as this is a new feature on Google Nest Hub Max, updates were slowly rolling out to all of its users. Let's continue to monitor and look for it on the next few days.
I'll keep this thread open for few more days so you can update.
Best,
Princess

Hello Princess,
As of this date my nest hub max still hasn't received the update. USA/Texas
Hopefully soon.

Same here with same sw and cast firmware version. What I can find it seems that the Gen 1 hubs will not get this feature.
05-26-2022 02:52 PM
@jdh_texas Only the Google Nest Hub Max will receive this feature as it uses the camera for sensing if you are looking at it.
Nest Hubs Gen 1 & 2 do not have cameras.

Sorry should have said mine is the nest hub max gen 1 and does have the camera. I was reading a post somewhere that stated only the Gen 2 hub max was getting this feature. So the gen 1s will be getting it eventually?

Currently there is only one version of the Google Nest Hub Max and this feature is rolling out for users that have the requirements here.....

I'm a UK user that uses my devices with the English US language and I have received the feature.

I was obviously reading some bad information then. Thanks for info and I will continue to look forward to the feature. Hopefully it will come soon.

**bleep**, I almost thought I was onto something. I had Nest monitoring on which keeps the camera on. I disable that feature and then went back to face match but look to talk is still not there.

Sorry for the delayed response.
I have requested more information about if this feature is fully rolled out to all users and I will share any further information about this as soon as possible.

Hey folks,
If you still haven't received the Look and Talk with the Google Nest Hub Max feature, try reinstalling your Google Home app to make sure it's updated.
Hope that helps!
Thanks,
Alex

Just wanted to update everyone. Looks like I received the update over the past couple of days. Checked just now and found that my app is now showing the “Look and Talk” feature.
